ABOUT TMA COMBAT

TMA COMBAT FITNESS was first designed in 2003 by the instructor as a way of maintaining his skills and fitness level when training solo. It proved to be a very powerful method and is still practiced by the instructor (it is like a martial arts multi-vitamin pill).

TMA COMBAT FITNESS is the "instructor's way of training" and has been for the last 15 years. The time has come to share this knowledge to improve the health and wellbeing of others.

TMA COMBAT is not a martial art style, it is a way of training that combines fitness and effective handpicked techniques. Instead of adding more and more moves to practice, it's better to have fewer moves so more time can be spent on proficiency and speed.

TMA COMBAT FITNESS makes learning martial arts easy and accessible, it uses traditional and modern training methods from both eastern and western disciplines.

In the conventional way of learning martial art, you learn the art first and in the process you get fit. TMA COMBAT goes straight for fitness first and in the process you learn the art. The training programme is adaptive, this is a unique feature of TMA COMBAT FITNESS.

TMA COMBAT FITNESS places great importance on training holistically, it is not just about the physical training. It is also about training the mind, body, spirit, emotion and at the same time being aware of the physiological changes that are occurring. Training the mind and body to be one, functioning as whole unit. Programming your muscle fibres and the nervous system so that movements are more efficient and flowing.

Through the training you will get fitter and stronger, with time you will acquire a repertoire of skills that can be used for self-defence purposes.




MEET THE INSTRUCTOR

The instructor is a 4th degree black belt in Renshinkai Karate and has over 35 years of experience practicing martial arts. Other martial arts experience include Kyokushinkai Karate, Shukokai Karate, Jiu Jitsu, Aikido and Boxing.
